Synopsis

The fifth and final series of Man Like Mobeen kicks off with Mobeen and Nate freshly out of prison and dealing with their far-from-ideal new living arrangements – while Saj and Harper come to terms with losing their jobs. But Mobeen’s priority is rescuing his sister Aqsa, who’s trapped in the UAE with Uncle Khan, utterly unaware of the danger she’s in. Then, the return of a familiar face forces Mobeen into a desperate turn of events that see him mixed up with an Irish gangster and on the wrong side of the Turkish mafia – a move that puts his friendship with Nate, Harper and Saj in jeopardy.  Can he convince them to risk everything and come with him to save Aqsa?  (As if that wasn’t enough, he’s also got a surprise marriage proposal to negotiate!)

The series also features a flashback episode that goes back to the late 90s, where we find a teenage Mobeen, Nate and Eight beginning their journey in Small Heath.

Back in the present day, Mobeen – with help from Uncle Shady – eventually makes it on to a plane – but it’s not to the UAE. And after that, things get even more chaotic for Mobs and his band of travelling misfits, with plenty of hurdles to jump before they’re reunited with Aqsa. Plus when they do finally track her down, things get even more complicated.

Can Mobeen finally find peace? Will everyone make it out alive? And what does the future hold?
